^41 (A)Now while the Pharisees were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question: ⁴² “What do you think about the ^[a]Christ? Whose son is He?” They *said to Him, “^(B)The son of David.” ⁴³ He *said to them, “Then ^[b]how does David ^[c](C)in the Spirit call Him ‘Lord,’ saying,

⁴⁵ Therefore, if David calls Him ‘Lord,’ ^[d]how is He his son?”

^35 (A)And Jesus responded and began saying, as He ^(B)taught in the temple area, “How is it that the scribes say that the ^[a]Christ is the ^(C)son of David? ³⁶ David himself said ^[b]in the Holy Spirit,

³⁷ David himself calls Him ‘Lord’; so in what sense is He his son?” And ^(E)the large crowd ^[c]enjoyed listening to Him.

¹⁹ So then, when the Lord Jesus had ^(A)spoken to them, He ^(B)was received up into heaven and ^(C)sat down at the right hand of God.

⁵⁶ and he said, “Behold, I see the ^(A)heavens opened and ^(B)the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.”

³ concerning His Son, who was born ^(A)of a ^[a]descendant of David ^(B)according to the flesh,

²⁰ which He brought about in Christ, when He ^(A)raised Him from the dead and ^(B)seated Him at His right hand in ^(C)the heavenly places,

^3 [a]And He is the radiance of His glory and the exact ^(A)representation of His nature, and ^[b](B)upholds all things by ^[c]the word of His power. When He had made ^(C)purification of sins, He ^(D)sat down at the right hand of the ^(E)Majesty on high,
